LEWIS & ASSOCIATES WINS PRSA PRISM AWARD FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

For the third consecutive year, Los Angeles-based Lewis & Associates won the PRISM Award (Oct. 24, 2007) for the best external newsletter, presented at the annual awards of the Los Angeles chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The 11x17-inch publication, created for Santa Monica-based Killefer Flammang Architects, was judged for graphic and editorial excellence by a PRSA jury in Hawaii.

Interestingly, added Lewis, there is mounting evidence that certain categories of print collateral literature — especially in the professional services sector — get better response and have greater staying power than online communications.

Wade Killefer, KFA's founding partner, remarked, "We get more response from our newsletter than any of the digital marketing communications we disseminate."

Lewis, who has served as KFA's public relations counsel for the past eight years, founded L&Ain 1960 and heads one of the two or three oldest independently owned PR firms in Los Angeles.

According to Advertising Age, he was one of the spearheading forces in the area of integrated marketing communications and among the first to provide advertising and graphics services as well as PR.

An Accredited PRSAmember, Lewis is also the only PR professional to receive the Leonardo Award, which is presented by the Los Angeles chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
